Leeds Memorial Park features a one and a half mile walking track with pavilion-type playground equipment for children of various ages. The City of Leeds maintains the park, which is situated on the north bank of the Little Cahaba River where it crosses Alabama Hwy. 119. Described by regional visitors as a beautiful spot, the park was established as a memorial to all veterans from the Leeds area from all branches of the military from all wars, including those killed or missing in action. Five local civic clubs and the Leeds Tree Commission maintain the flower gardens, trees, flags, and monuments. More than 22 additional civic clubs do projects to improve the park.
