Moody Splash Pad’s large aquatic play area is perfect for kids of all ages. Admission into the Splash Pad is $2 per person, whether you “play” or just observe. It is are open for all, not just residents of Moody. Children 2yrs & under are free. They do not allow outside food or drinks, however we do have a concession area where you can purchase a snack.
The Moody City Park is located on Park Avenue across the street from the Moody City Hall. The park is a 48-acre athletic complex that has become one of the focal points of the community.
At the far edges of the historical park and the memorial park are five baseball and softball fields and a soccer field in a $1.5-million newly opened athletic complex reserved for Leeds Youth Sports. The parks host as many as 30 baseball, softball, and soccer teams during a week of play.
Leeds Memorial Park features a one and a half mile walking track with pavilion-type playground equipment for children of various ages. The City of Leeds maintains the park, which is situated on the north bank of the Little Cahaba River where it crosses Alabama Hwy. 119. Described by regional visitors as a beautiful spot, the park was established as a memorial to all veterans from the Leeds area from all branches of the military from all wars, including those killed or missing in action. Five local civic clubs and the Leeds Tree Commission maintain the flower gardens, trees, flags, and monuments. More than 22 additional civic clubs do projects to improve the park.
Leeds has a city park located at the intersection of Ashville Road and Lane Drive which provides a fenced children’s playground area. The park is open year round and there is no admission fee.
The City Splash Park is located at the corner of 3rd Ave and 7th Street. There are two pavilions at the park. Please contact City Hall (205-594-4151 x3) to make your reservation for the pavilions. Pavilion #1 is the large pavilion with the fire place. Pavilion #2 is the smaller pavilion next to the tennis courts. The Splash Pad is open Noon – 6pm daily from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. After Labor Day, the Splash Pad is open Noon – 6pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays thru the end of September. The Park is open early Spring through late Fall.
Located on the eastern edge of the embankment that holds back the lake topped by the aptly named Logan Martin Road, Logan Martin Picnic Area provides visitors a relaxing spot to take in views of the lake, its dam and an occasional run of skiers through the lake’s most visited slalom course.
A mainstay of Alabama Power-operated parks, Logan Martin Dam Park is also one of its more low-key places to relax. The park’s 19 structures include a fishing pier, grills, pavilions and picnic tables and were upgraded after the park sustained tornado damage in 2011. The park is open from sunrise to sunset. The Park is located directly behind City Hall on a beautiful hillside with a great scenic view. Park includes playground children may use while parents walk or run the track which offers different levels of difficulty for parents and others who like to exercise. The park offers picnic areas and a pavilion with restroom facilities for parties and other get-togethers. Park hours are from dawn til dusk.
